The school building was built in the emerging "new downtown" of Gdynia, in the triangle between Świętojańska and 10 Lutego streets and the railway tracks, at the new Władysława IV street 54, a new and beautiful building of Primary School No. 14 was built in 1957. The bold design was impressive and it aroused general admiration for its lightness, airiness, functionality and everything that was needed to achieve the "breathtaking" effect. Almost the next day, the school began to be called the "glass school". This name was commonly used by children, parents and authors of numerous press articles, who carefully noted the fact that the new school facility was put into use.
