The "Little Skyscraper" or "Il grattaciello piccolo" is a building that was buildt in 1939. At that time, another skyscraper in Rijeka was built, the big one. Well, that's how the people of Rijeka got their "Little" skyscraper in addition to the "Big". The little skyscraper in Via Carducci (today's Ciottina 20) is the work of Milan student Raoul Puhali. He solved the angle problem in a very specific way. With its height, the skyscraper protrudes above the buildings in its own environment. The story, according to which the owner of the building decided to build as many floors as future apartments he manages to sell, according to legend, this skyscraper ends with 10. Today, ten large half-rings - balconies surround a sharp corner at the intersection of two streets: Via Firenze and Via Carducci Uncle and Ciottine.
