City Art Gallery Elena
The building was originally constructed in 1875 to be used as a high school. On February 14, 1988 the building caught fire and burned down to the ground. The renovated building was scheduled to be used as an art gallery to display some of the rich artistic archives of the Elena Museum of the Bulgarian Renaissance.

The building was originally constructed in 1875 to be used as a high school. It was built by Master Gencho Kanchev of Triavna. In 1877 it burned down and was rebuilt by the same builder in 1880.
On February 14, 1988 the building caught fire and burned down to the ground.
In 2019 Elena Municipality launched the Culture in Eternity project to rebuild the school under Transborder Cooperation Programme Interreg V-A Romania-Bulgaria 2014-2020.
The renovated building was scheduled to be used as an art gallery to display some of the rich artistic archives of the Elena Museum of the Bulgarian Renaissance.
