Dodatkowa informacja
Yalı Bostancı is a residential and commercial mix-use building located on the beach of Bostancı, one of the oldest neighborhoods on the Anatolian side of İstanbul. Bostancı, which used to be İstanbul’s gate to Anatolia in the past, is today one of İstanbul’s favorite neighborhoods. The building is located on the bazaar road connected to the historical bridge, which has been passed by caravans in the past. The south facade of the building faces Marmara Sea and the Prince Islands. The north facade faces the renovated railway. Yalı Bostancı is an urban transformation project created by the reconstruction of 11 apartments in front of the Bazaar Road. There are 22 commercial units on the ground floor and mezzanines. The upper floors are used as housing and consists of 108 independent sections. 5 storey building has a long facade of 140 mt. By protecting the existing parcel’s boundaries, the building creates fractures on it’s linear facade, increasing the effect of perspective and light and preserves it’s texture as a part of the city. The brick and the stone textures on the facade highlights the historical face of the neighborhood and they mix with each other on the linear facade. The facade opens to the city with lighted windows. This fluid dynamy reflects the modern face of the city and also refernces to the railway which is neighboring the building. The building is completed in 2021 and started it’s journey in time.
