The site Students Hostel of the National Sports Academy – block 15 was designed in 2017. The hostel building had not been overhauled since of moment of its construction in the 80s. Regardless of the current repairs, the building cover and installations had become outdated and obsolete.
The technical design created by the team of Bogoev Consult EOOD pursued several purposes at a time. First, it was the renovation of the building in accordance with the requirements for a 21st century residential building. Second, the renovation of the building allows the creation of a higher self-esteem in the students inhabiting it and the shift of their focus from household to school issues. Third, the façade solution of the building seeks to improve the urban surrounding in the area.
The façade is made in navy blue and light yellow. Yellow is a sunny colour, which is loved a lot by Bulgarians and which ‘opens’ the building to the visitor observing it. The navy blue inspires thoughts of sun and sea and relaxes the observer.
