Dodatkowa informacja
The design of the seemingly new structure can be referred to an existing GDR-typical single-family house. The basement and parts of the former ground floor served as the basis for additions and extensions to form a new, up-to-date residential building. The predecessor’s "roots" that characterise the form are continued by means of a transformation in new buildings. To this effect, the building responds to the grown property situation and the surrounding buildings. Special attention was paid to the fact that the surface structure and colour result in a changing colour depth caused by different lighting moods and light incidence. The mineral and fibre-reinforced basecoat mortar provides the required safety for the energetic rehabilitation. The mineral, diffusion-open and two-layer felt plaster provides a homogeneously fine surface. The fine plaster was irregularly rubbed by a sponge board. The paint was applied twice in an irregular procedure by a brush in the cross-stroke technique. The drying process of the double silicate coating system was followed by a mineral matt colour glaze to deepen the changeable colour effect. The plinth design definitely required that, in addition to the functional plaster selection, the structure of the old masonry formers or natural stone and sand-lime brick above all be combined with new masonry blocks. This request of the principal was complied with by the special skills of the craftsman who used a square-pointed trowel to apply thin-layer sealing slurries which were subsequently filled in several layers along the brickwork and then washed them up with a brush. The painting of the plinth was similar to the facade design. The monochrome and smooth colour frame allows a combination of miscellaneous fine materials. Velvet matt surfaces provide the facade with a precious and natural effect.
