Villa Flavia
The property falls within the Architectural-Historical Reserve 'Old Plovdiv' and faces one of the most emblematic streets of the city of Plovdiv - Otets Paisiy. The building aims to stylishly and definitively take its place in the historical center of the cultural capital of Europe. Villa Flavia offers a space for a meeting between past and present, old and new, in the heart of a millennium-old city and in a 'wrapper' woven in the spirit of Art Nouveau. The true 'soul' of the villa is found deep beneath it, where a partially revealed Roman bath is exposed. There, one can be transported to a bygone era, understand the 'secrets' of Roman builders, or feel the relaxing atmosphere in imperial baths. This ancient world is accessible and visible through a glass elliptical opening integrated into the foyer floor. The facades rely on natural materials, such as oak for the window profiles, granite for the stone base with moderate horizontal articulation, fluted pilasters frame the west and east facades, imparting elegance and symmetry to their appearance. All wrought iron openwork parapets are crafted as replicas of the original ones preserved on-site. Fluted pilasters are used to elongate the building vertically and give it a slender posture, while horizontal cornices cut it at intervals different from its floors. Villa Flavia follows the spirit and atmosphere of the area, built with love for the city and reverence for its history and heritage. The building is erected with the idea of bringing pride to the soul and pleasure to the senses of every Plovdiv resident, as well as every guest beneath its eaves.
