Dorotheum & Motel One

Exhibition and auction rooms on the ground floor were redesigned and a contemporary use was achieved on the floors above with a design city hotel. During the course of the remodeling the appearance of the building was also radically changed – façades from the Sixties have been removed and classic façade divisions and ornamentation of the original English house from the turn of the century were uncovered and reinterpreted. Plans for the project were developed in close cooperation with the historic city centre expert commission. The conversion into a new design hotel close to the city centre will enhance and enrich the Jakominiplatz and the City of Graz.
