The villa was built from 1891 to 1893 by the prestigious master builders, the Ziller brothers. The two-storey villa, including its enclosure and entrance gate, is heritage protected. The foundation consists of polygonal masonry accentuated by sandstone surrounds. When the building was renovated in the 1970s, all the structuring elements and mouldings were removed. The building contractor’s objective was to restore the façade to its original state, as can be seen, for example, in the picture from the 1930s. Energy standards were to be complied with; however, for heritage preservation reasons, an energy-efficient renovation with façade insulation was not carried out. As an alternative, insulating plaster with a thickness of approx. 3 cm was applied. The masonry and intermediate cornices were restored, the bosses were plastered, and the mouldings, belt cornices and eaves cornices were reinstated.
