The church dedicated to "Buna Vestire" was built in the 15th century (the first documentary attestation is in 1407) in the form of a hall church with a massive bell tower located on the eastern side, behind the Holy Altar. The initial plan was in Gothic style, from which the windows and frames from the west and north entrances have been preserved. The church is built of stone, partly brought from the foundation of the former wooden church, being fortified with a stone wall over a distance of approximately 130 m. In 1893, the Bistrita architect Friedrich Weingartner drew up the plans to enlarge the church. In the years 1894-1896, adaptation and construction works took place.
