The terrain, on which the building is erected, is located in the city of Ruse, in the Zdravets quarter – an area that is relatively remote from the city administrative centre, which however forms in a modern utilitarian way an urban cocktail of broad green areas, administrative and commercial centres, incl. Business Park Ruse and residential complexes. In art and aesthetic terms, this quarter shapes a homogeneous amalgam of old buildings from the past era of totalitarian functional minimalism together with modern, fresh ones, such as the building subject of this presentation.
The site is a multi-family residential building with entrances facing the Yundola str., situated in the western part of a large regulated land plot in the quarter. The residences in it are allocated in five above-ground levels as their entrances are on the site of the internal floor landings formed around the communication cell. On every floor there is a diversity of one-room, two-room and multi-room apartments with functional area distributions, solutions based on the methods used by the state-of-art European residential architecture. Every single residence has a parking solution by underground parking lots accessible from the street via a convenient car ramp with a moderate inclination.
The building comprises 5 above-ground levels and one underground level. The residences contained in it are a total of fifteen. Its built-up area is 416.08 m2, and the total floorage is 2,790 m2.
In structural terms, the building is monolith, with a common foundation reinforced-concrete slab and with reinforced-concrete vertical elements bearing the loads from all levels. Several anti-earthquake walls are also constructed for the purpose of achieving the required seismic security of the structure.
