A complex of residential, administrative and stable buildings constructed in 1801-1805 for Archduke Friedrich was turned into a state-of-the-art museum of a famous art collection. On request of the builder the historic facade of the house had to remain preserved in order to create the romantic character of a small hidden palace in the courtyard of an old building complex. The facade of the building itself is covered with wild vines and wisteria. These and other areas will have a positive effect on the microclimate in the building complex in future. The project succeeded in combining the necessary requirements of a museum with a great deal of elegance and contemporary esprit.
