A large building, the Füchsl Palace is among the first buildings in the Lechnerian style in Oradea. It was built based on the plan made by the Budapest based architects Zoltán Bálint and Lajos Jámbor, in the period 1902-1903. The entrepreneur was Vilmos Rendes from Oradea and belonged to the brothers Arnold and Mór Füchsl, important wine merchants. The Füchsl Palace consists of a ground floor and two floors and hides under the appearance of a unitary facade two related buildings, each with an inner courtyard and its own entrance. In the basement were large wine cellars and wood and coal pantries. The ground floor has commercial spaces facing the street. There were apartments on the upper floors, and those facing the street were intended for wealthy social categories. On the corner, the building is rounded. At the level of the roof there is a conical helmet crowned with a lantern made of galvanized sheet, in the form of a bulb. It had a fleuron, now missing, representing the caduceus of Mercury, the god of commerce, protector of travelers. The facade is executed unitarily and it is impossible to guess that there are two buildings. It stands out for its rich, curvilinear, vegetal, symbolic ornamentation, represented by vines, bunches of grapes, floral ornaments and leaves. The sponsors of the edifice, the Füchsl brothers, have the "TF" monograms carefully placed and calligraphy in trapezoidal panels, which are related to their activity. The hardware is made in a curvilinear manner. All these features give the building originality and a particular stylistic feature, attracting the attention of passers-by.
