The Burg Clam was first mentioned in a document in 1142 and is now an international hotspot for major cultural and musical events with an unique open air flair against an impressive historical backdop. Living in and managing a castle is a tast that spans generations. Partial renovations are therefore necessary time and again – for cost reasons. Now the historic natural stone masonry façade on the main façade and the tower wing has been restored true to the original using traditional craftmanship methods. The historically valuable plasters were repaired with hydraulic lime products (NHL). With the Felsenburg as a living image of the architecture and way of life of past eras, another Austrian cultural and historical heritage is being preserved. And with it, the preservation and reconstruction of architectural testimonies of earlier generations as true to the original as possible.
